Avfuel Voted Best Fuel Brand by Pilots for Eighth Consecutive Year; Avfuel Network FBOs Rank Among Top in Country

ANN ARBOR, MI / April 15, 2013 / GENERAL AVIATION NEWS / Readers of Professional Pilot magazine have voted Avfuel “Best Fuel Brand” for the eighth consecutive year. Avfuel also scored the number-one spot in the Best Aviation Fuel Credit Card category.

“The PRASE Survey is a voice for the pilot community – the group that Avfuel and Avfuel-branded FBOs exist to serve,” said Marci Ammerman, Avfuel Vice President, Marketing. “Avfuel extends a heartfelt thank-you to our customers, not only for their business but for their continued participation in these types of industry surveys. Continued evaluation of our services by our core consumers is critical and this type of validation drives our team to work even harder on their behalf.”

Ammerman also credited Avfuel’s branded FBO network for its representation of Avfuel in the field: “FBO employees interact with our customers face-to-face on a daily basis. In addition to providing high-quality facilities and services, they are ambassadors for valuable programs such as Avfuel Contract Fuel and AVTRIP Rewards. Our FBO network is a critical component of Avfuel’s success as a brand.”

XJet (APA) and Pentastar Aviation (PTK) – both Avfuel-branded dealers – ranked #1 and #2 respectively on the PRASE listing of Best US FBOs. FBO rankings are based on scores in six categories: Line Team, Customer Service Representatives, Facility, Amenities, Promptness/Efficiency, and Value for Price.

The PRASE results come on the heels of the Aviation International News (AIN) FBO Survey, which saw XJet along with Avfuel-branded Fargo Jet Center (FAR), Tampa International Jet Center (TPA), and Banyan Air Service (FXE) rated among the top 5% of FBOs in the country.

“As a company founded by pilots, for pilots, Avfuel understands that a positive FBO experience is key,” said Ammerman. “We support our dealers with much more than just fuel – we give them the tools to streamline operations and the marketing support to attract and retain business. To see our dealers attain such success is thrilling.”

A number of Avfuel FBOs received high ratings in both surveys. Complete results of the annual PRASE (Preferences Regarding Aviation Services and Equipment) survey, which polls Professional Pilot‘s readership about favorite aviation businesses, will be published in the May 2013 issue of the magazine. AIN FBO Survey results are available online for subscribers.
