Hillsboro Aviation Breaks Ground on Corporate Headquarters

Hillsboro Aviation is excited to announce it has broken ground on its new corporate headquarters with an executive office and hangar complex in Hillsboro, Oregon. With completion expected in 2016, the building, which is the second phase of the company’s long-term 425,000 square foot development project, will accommodate its growing business sectors.

“I am thrilled to begin this new phase of our company,” said Max Lyons, owner and president of Hillsboro Aviation and chairman of Helicopter Association International. “Our new facility allows us to expand our sales/service and contract/charter operations while continuing to enhance our market position. This new phase allows us to improve our ability to serve the needs of our dynamic customer base, offering services from FBO, executive charter, aircraft and parts sales to overhaul services and avionics installations.”

The building has also been designed to accommodate environmentally efficient systems long-term, aiming to ensure a sustainable operation and growth in the community of Hillsboro.

“We face an unprecedented opportunity for growth and are eager to proceed with a modern and environmentally friendly design,” said General Manager Ryan McCartney. “Expansion of this scale lays a solid foundation for the future of our growing company while maintaining a high level of dedication to our customers’ experience. We are a proud member of the local community and look forward to taking part in the sustainable growth and continued success at the Hillsboro airport.”

The property is located at the Portland-Hillsboro Airport (KHIO), home to Nike founder Phil Knight’s hangar and near Intel’s largest chip manufacturing plant.
